Jul. 10th, 2006 02:48 pmAs promised, Pictures!
Before we left for VA, I was telling her about what we were going to do. She didn't believe me. ( Here's 'that look' )
The first day at grandmas:
( The dress up bin comes out... )
( Silliness with a wig... )
Zoe doesn't have much of a yard regularly, but grandma's got a few acres.... The girls had a great time running around outside and playing in the woods.
( Mom takes the girls for a walk to collect treasures from the woods: )
( Playing on the Swing )
( Trinity and Zoe learn to use the hose... )
When the girls are away, the adults will play:
( Here's me and Trevor whooping Dave and Cecily's butt in Spades: )
The next night we had sparklers, and some little "fireworks" for the kids:
( The 'fireworks' were loud: )
( The sparklers were a hit, though: )
The last day, it was just us and grandma.
( Zoe lines up all her toys and plays teacher: )
( Zoe teaches grandma too: )
( She also got a chance to play with her other new friend, Shaman. )
Then it was off to my parent's house.
( We had some real fireworks, this time: )
( Zoe was a bit scared, at first: )
( Then just trepidatious: )
( Then, she loved them! )
She even asked, at one point, to hold the Roman Candles we were setting off!
( Instead, we gave her more sparklers: )
The next day, my mom and I took Zoe to the Nature Center...
( Zoe was very excited about the snakes: )
( and totally bummed that she couldn't pet them: )
( She could pet the turtles, however: )
( & She got very excited over the Owls and Birds: )
( That IS an Eagle )
( I think he wanted to eat her. )
The Nature Center also had a play area.
( Which had a cave for exploration: )
Then we took her to the neighboring ( park. )
( Then we took her for a ride on the paddleboats: )
( Then we stopped for some HUGE Dora-shaped ice cream: )
After such a long day, she didn't want to go to sleep, but ( curled up in my dad's lap grumpily: )
